The Department of Information Technology and Analytics invites applications for a tenure-line assistant professor rank faculty position for Academic Year 2024-2025 (starting in August 2024).
We are especially interested in candidates who, through their research, teaching, and service, will contribute to the inclusive excellence of Kogod’s academic reputation.
Candidates are expected to teach relevant courses at the graduate and undergraduate levels both in-person and online formats, and participate in department, school, and university activities. The ideal candidate will help the department expand its AI/ML research agenda by publishing research in top business journals, obtaining external grants, and collaborating with scholars across different disciplines inside and outside of the department to further the advancement of AI/ML research in all business domains.
Essential qualifications include:
An earned doctorate or anticipated completion of a doctorate by August 2024 is required in information systems, operations management, operations research, management science, decision science, data analytics, or other fields related to AI/ML. Candidates must have a strong record of publishing research in top-tier academic journals or potential to do so. Candidates must also have demonstrated evidence or potential of teaching excellence at both undergraduate and graduate levels. A successful record of securing research funding from federal agencies and corporate sponsors, or the potential to do so, is desirable.
