The DeGroote School of Business at McMaster University invites applications for a teaching-track position at the rank of Assistant Professor in the Operations Management Area. The position will commence on July 1, 2023.
Applicants must possess a Ph.D. in Operations Research / Management Science / Operations Management or a related field from an AACSB accredited (or equivalent) school by the date of appointment. The successful candidate must demonstrate a record of teaching excellence and a strong commitment to innovation in teaching. They will be expected to contribute to the School’s academic programs at both its Hamilton and Burlington locations, and teach courses in the undergraduate and MBA levels. Preference will be given to candidates with demonstrated teaching interests and expertise in Business Analytics. Normally, this position will have a teaching load of eight course-sections per year. The successful candidate will be expected to engage in service to the School including serving on School and University committees.
The Operations Management Area is committed to excellence in both research and teaching. DeGroote employs approximately 90 full time faculty members with total student enrollment of 4300 across the Commerce, MBA, specialized Masters programs, PhD, and EMBA programs.
