J2 Engineers is currently seeking a Project Manager for its Transportation operations in its Chantilly and Leesburg, Virginia offices. The Project Manager will implement the project directives under the guidance of senior leadership and will focus on planning, design, and documentation tasks that contribute to the overall project. They will be given the opportunity to work on a large variety of projects while developing their leadership skills in a collaborative, diverse work environment.
Lead the development of design and technical documents through all project phases.
Utilize working knowledge of state, and local standards, policies, and procedures.
Design and create technical documents in AutoCAD using Carlson Design software.
Manage team effort and coordinate with other PM’s through all project phases.
Ensure effective communication and coordination on assigned projects between other project participants, including engineers, review agencies, subconsultants, developers, contractors, and clients.
Develop design efficiencies using AutoCAD Carlson Design software.
Provide hands on mentorship to junior staff members.
Pursue and maintain professional certifications to show continued growth.
Engage in training that furthers professional development.
Participate in industry events and professional societies
Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering.
At least five years of progressively responsible experience in all phases of services in planning, design, and management.
Proficiency using AutoCAD Carlson or MicroStation Open-Roads design software.
Professional license in Virginia or ability to apply for reciprocity.
