Lecturer or Assistant Teaching Professor of Cybersecurity
Penn State Harrisburg's AACSB-accredited School of Business Administration invites applications for a one-year, full-time, non-tenure-track, Cybersecurity position effective Fall 2023. The successful candidate will combine a strong background in cybersecurity and network security with a commitment to innovative teaching and student success.
This position has a strong likelihood of renewal.
Job Responsibilities:
- Specific job requirements include teaching undergraduate courses in cybersecurity, and security and risk analysis.
- Primary teaching areas include the following: digital networking and network security, cybersecurity and cyber forensics, security, and malware analytics, and risk management.
- Secondary teaching areas could include the following: static and dynamic malware analysis, cyber defensive techniques, and cybersecurity-related machine learning.
Typical Education & Qualifications:
- Hold a doctorate in cybersecurity, information technology, or a related field with a specialization or research interest in cybersecurity and network security.
- Candidates with a master's degree in Information Technology or related field and security or network certifications (CISSP, CISM, CEH, OSCP, OSEE, CCNA, etc.) are strongly encouraged to apply.
- Faculty are expected to maintain a high level of professional activity through scholarship and service.
