The Department of Technology Management and Innovation at the NYU Tandon School of Engineering invites applications for a full time, non-tenured, renewable faculty position in multiple disciplines, at the level of Industry Assistant Professor, with a start date of September 1, 2022. The initial appointment will be for one year, renewable depending on the performance.
An Industry Professor's primary roles are teaching, mentoring and educational innovation, and the position may also entail some administrative work and outreach. The teaching load will be 3 courses/academic semester (Spring and Fall). Specific teaching assignments are determined based on the needs in our undergraduate and graduate programs.
We invite applicants for in-person and online teaching and mentoring in one or more of the following areas:
Management Science / Operations Research / Operations Management
Design Thinking (including Service Design, Human-Centered Product Design, Design Strategy)
Industrial and Systems Engineering
You should be an excellent teacher and mentor. You should have a Ph.D. in a closely related discipline and a record of industrial experience and/or teaching in these areas.
