SolEpoxy is searching for highly qualified engineering students who will immediately assume responsibilities serving our Engineering and R&D Team. We seek highly motivated students with the ability to work as a co-op or intern for the January to May 2022, with an option to continue through August The positions are located in Olean, NY. From your first day, you’ll be a contributing member of the team with meaningful responsibilities, providing you a realistic look at a future career with SolEpoxy.
SolEpoxy makes specialty thermoset compounds to encapsulate, insulate and protect electrical and electronic devices. We serve major industries including automotive, power transmission, micro-electronics, and medical devices. Our products are used worldwide by long-term customers. The Packaging Science Co-op or Intern will work on challenging projects applying engineering and design principles in a manufacturing and research environment with responsibilities consisting of the application of packaging science to projects within the facility. These projects, which will be performed under the guidance and assistance of experienced engineers and sales, have the effect of reducing waste, increasing efficiencies, streamlining process, troubleshooting issues, identifying cost savings, reducing risk, and improving products and procedures.

Education and Experience
Progress towards completing a Bachelor’s degree in packaging science.
Knowledge and interest in package design, environmentalism, sustainability, cost-efficiency, and engineering.
Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Computer Aid Design (CAD)
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical procedures/manuals, and government regulations
Ability to write reports, correspondence, test methods and procedures.
Communicate effectively with supervisors, other personnel, customers, and vendors
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
Redesign flight packs
Focus on maintaining cold temperatures
Evaluate and propose alternatives to current package designs
Characterize current packages
Efficiency on packaging line
Must be currently enrolled in a degree program in Packaging Science or Engineering
