Salary Range: $70,852 - $93,236 This is a full-time represented position. THE DEPARTMENT In May 2019 the City Council selected Michael Ciaravino as Mill Creek’s new City Manager. The administrative team is meaningfully transforming and reorganizing its City government capturing momentum and carefully constructing Mill Creek’s management team, emphasizing ethics, professionalism, sophistication, and diversity. The City of Mill Creek is in an exciting new stage of reorganization. The Public Works and Development Services Department provides vital services to the community of Mill Creek, combining planning, economic development, and public works. The newly constituted Public Works Engineering team, comprised of the City Engineer, Project Engineer, and Surface Water Engineer, will have the opportunity to contribute to a city organization that is aligned with best practices, efficiency, technical advancements, and innovation. THE PROJECT ENGINEER POSITION The City is seeking a confident and dynamic professional engineer with experience in a variety of public works engineering projects and programs, The Project Engineer will complete the design and manage construction for minor projects and infrastructure preservation and maintenance programs and collaborate with and manage contracted designers for more significant projects. The Project Engineer with work closely with the Public Works Maintenance and Operations team to establish processes and address issues with the City’s infrastructure. The Project Engineer will also be the primary focal point for engineering review of private development. The ideal candidate will have broad public works engineering experience, and a willingness to learn and expand their horizons.
