Responsible for the preparation and revisions to civil portion of the development including conceptual design, detailed design and construction support
Develop detailed designs, calculations and back-up documentation
Perform design calculations for grading, drainage, pavement and alignment improvements.
Develop detailed construction drawings for highway, urban roadway, and railroad projects
Conduct field work to document as-builts, rebuilds, retrofits and provide construction technical support
Provide guidance and oversight of required topographic and SUE survey
Exercise judgment limited to developing details of work in making preliminary selections and adaptations of engineering alternatives
Strong organization skills and collaborative working style
PE licensed in TX
BS from accredited institution
Minimum of 7 years of designing renovations/repairs of existing facilities, new structures for commercial and government facilities
Government experience with DOD requirements to include, Architectural and Engineering Instructions Manual (AEIM), UFC standards, and relevant building codes to include IBC, NFPA, ADA.
Must be responsible to seal and sign the design drawings
Knowledge of Seismic Design requirements
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, CAD, Micro Station, BIM, and 3D modeling software REVIT or Sketch up.
Must be able to obtain base clearance/security.
Willing to live and work in Houston.
Experience as a project manager on multi-discipline designs for DOD clients
