The Imperial Irrigation District a public utility located in southeastern CA is seeking a Lineman, Journeyman-Safety & Compliance to serve as a trainer by performing critical services in energy inspections, procedures, safety and training for field personnel. Works with staff schedules to prepare and develop instructional material to instruct crews regarding new technology and equipment, applicable state and federal regulations, operating methods, standard work practices and reporting metrics to measure goals and progress. Assists with developing district standard operating procedures, standard work practices, safety training, root cause analysis and develops corrective measure to resolve issues in different areas. Performs other duties as assigned.
High school equivalency and successful completion of a four-year state certified lineman apprenticeship program; or lineman journeyman certificate from an accredited trade school and 48 months of validated line construction work experience and a minimum score of 80% on the district lineman journeyman test. A valid Class "A" driver license issued by the State of California Department of Motor Vehicles is required.
