Under limited supervision, directly manages the related project development, design and permitting activities for all private development related projects. Coordinates activities between consulting engineers, contractors, developers and BJWSA personnel to ensure all projects are developed and designed according to BJWSA specifications. Creates development agreements with developers for large developments. Reports to the Director of Engineering.

Requires a Bachelor’s Degree (from an accredited engineering program) in civil or mechanical engineering or related field with a minimum of five years’ experience in engineering related functions and project management.
Prefer a South Carolina Professional Engineer License.
Requires extensive knowledge of the principles and practices of engineering as applied to civil design and hydraulics associated with water and wastewater systems and plants.
Must possess experience in computer applications and possess the ability to operate BJWSA-specific software.
Must possess a valid driver’s license.

Beaufort-Jasper Water & Sewer Authority is a public, nonprofit regional water & sewer utility created by the South Carolina legislature. We are governed by a Board of Directors consisting of eleven members, who have been recommended by Beaufort County and Jasper County legislative delegations and appointed by the Governor of South Carolina. We provide services to the southeastern coastal South Carolina counties of Beaufort and Jasper. This region includes the City of Beaufort, Bluffton, & Hilton Head Island and is centrally located between Charleston, SC & Savannah, GA.
