Overview / Responsibilities Wood Environment & Infrastructure Solutions, Inc. is seeking a Senior Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) to join our team in Sacramento, California. This person will be responsible for Environmental, Safety, and Occupational Health (IH) services to both industrial and government clients as well as mentorship of staff as part of a collaborative team to pursue area/regional IH opportunities.
Key Responsibilities This opportunity has technical and mentorship focus; experience and focus can be government and/or private sector. Experience with multiple sectors preferred Candidate must have experience and knowledge regarding the local Northern California client market sectors Responsible for managing lead, asbestos, mold, and other industrial hygiene projects Will also be required to conduct technical IH related surveys and assessments, and provide consultation in OHS, IH and EHS based on technical strengths Directs and supervises technical assignments (both field & office) for all staff in the IH group assigned project responsibilities Responsible for high-level technical oversight and prepares, directs, and reviews technical reports, proposals, and cost estimates Candidate must have a collaborative approach, willing to work with other Wood offices to cross-market service lines and work towards larger project opportunities
Skills / Qualifications Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) REQUIRED BS or MS degree in Industrial Hygiene or related science field A minimum of 10 years of experience in the IH field required Operational knowledge of Industrial Hygiene monitoring equipment Operational knowledge of computer databases and office programs (MS Access, MS Excel, MS Word) Strong oral and written communication skills; ability to prepare reports and proposals Staff mentorship, management, and leadership abilities Must pass drug test, physical, background check and must have a valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record in accordance with the Company’s driving (Motor Vehicle Safety) policy
