Under the direct supervision of the Engineering Director, the Assistant Director of Engineering, responsible for Land Development and Operations, assists in the planning, reviewing, and management of professional engineering work involved with land development planning, design, inspections and construction. Manages customer service requests and coordinates with customers and other departments to resolve service requests.
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering; supplemented by five (5) year(s) of progressively responsible management experience in civil engineering and land development; or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities for this job.
LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS
Registration as a Professional Engineer in Virginia or obtain within one year of hire date.
Valid Virginia driver’s license with the ability to meet and maintain Town insurability requirements and a minimum of three (3) years driving experience
